Hey all, I’ve got more college questions.

So I got into the interior design program at the University of Cincinnati (DAAP). It is ranked number one in the nation- what a great opportunity!

However, I’m still on the fence about architecture vs. interior design. I got into Ball State’s architecture program, which is no where near as well know as DAAP’s. But, I can minor in interior design to get the best of both worlds.

So if you all were me, what would you do? I know BSU offers the major and minor, but how can I walk away from the number one program in the nation?

Any input/thoughts on these schools/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know it’s one of the most challenging classes you can take and that it looks awesome on your transcript, but I’m carrying a very heavy course load and have a lot of responsibilities this year, and I’m worried that it will be too time consuming. My school just started a few days ago, and so it’s not too late to drop it, but I’m being pressured to “stick with it” by my parents & adviser. My other classes this year are AP Studio Art, AP English Lit, AP Government, AP Music Theory, Women in Arts & Architecture, and Debate. In place of Physics I want to do an independent research project on eco-feminism.

I’ve already taken 11 AP classes: French Lit, French Language, English Language, European History, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Human Geography, Art History, Latin Lit, & US History and passed all the exams with a 4 or 5, so it’s not like I’ve been slouching. I’ve also studied abroad and taken college courses for the past three summers.

My stats: SAT:2310, ACT: 35, GPA: 4.4, ranked 2nd in my class. I also have a heap of awards, distinctions & all that jazz.

I’m the editor of our literary magazine, captain of the debate team, community service chair, head of the ambassador program, and a member of the dance troupe, orchestra and a heap of clubs.

There is this one school I’ve dreamed of going to since I was really young, and I’m completely freaking out that I could jeopardize my chances if I drop this class, but that if I don’t I’m going to unravel.
My only “free time” right now is between like 11pm-6am.

If you are knowledgeable about college admissions I’d be so grateful for advice. Thanks in advance!

here’s the thing, I just graduated last year (2010) with a 2.3 GPA. I didn’t have the best grades and pretty much all through high school I didn’t have motivation nor did know what I wanted to do after high school at all, so in other words I basically slacked off, which I regret so bad right now, Its a year after I graduated and I no longer want to be like that, I know that I want to be in a career where I can be creative so I basically Googled what careers would be best for me and I came across architecture, I researched it up and down and came to realize I would actually love being an architect, I like the discipline, I like the creativity, I like the idea that I would be able to travel and meet different kinds of people, I feel like I have that motivation in me to go all the way in this, but basically my question is how do I start? I only have a 2.3 gpa, my high school grades don’t reflect how serious I really am about this…I don’t know what to do or where to start…I need advice

By entering the elections for the position of Manila mayor, he can now fight for his dream task of trying to place Manila back to the pedestal where it belongs.

Lito Atienza is certainly highly competent to become Manila Mayor. He finished his primary and secondary education in Ateneo de Manila University and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas. Despite the fact that their family was monetarily rich, they were hardworking which enabled Lito to enter into the top schools. The Atienza family were also very faithful and God fearing. These family values and religious aspects are certainly very important for the position of public servant in Philippine politics.

Perhaps the best qualification of Lito Atienza is his untarnished name. His father Pepe firmly believed that no wealth could ever be at par with the heritage of good name backed up with a good education. Lito also had many friends and constantly persevered in order to reach his goals. He would take manual labor jobs and even rode along classmates with cars without shame because he firmly believed in hard work as the bridge to our goals.

Lito Atienza would certainly add to his colored history in his participation in Philippine politics by running for mayor. Being the Manila Mayor would be most revering for him and for the city of Manila given his heritage with the place. He experienced not only his life here, but also lived it in community with his family in the city which he envisions to prosper. If he wins, it will truly be for everyone’s benefit if we give him a chance to fulfill his dreams of the city for us.

When Lito Atienza announced his intention to run for the mayor position of the city of Manila, many applauded the move. There would be no other person perhaps who is more qualified for the position of Manila Mayor. Apart from coming from a distinguished family in the history of Philippine politics, Lito Atienza also has vast experience as a politician. He has a good clean name established through a reputation of irreproachable character of sincere public service.
